L’Oreal has launched a model new hair dryer designed to blow away the rivals. First launched at CES 2024 and now that may be bought, the AirLight Skilled will apparently ship “a styling experience like no completely different”, because of a mixture of ultra-powerful windspeeds, infrared light (delivered by way of patented new know-how), and a companion app.
We’re not absolutely constructive what the infrared light half does – we have not seen this methodology sooner than (and now we have examined most of the best hair dryers within the market). The windspeed half is simpler to know, and positively sounds spectacular. Due to a 17-blade, high-speed motor, the AirLight Skilled might be succesful to blast your locks with windspeeds of as a lot as 130mph. That is the same as a Class 4 hurricane – which looks like a very rousing morning styling routine.
The hypothesis is that this dryer will blast water off the hair flooring whereas leaving the moisture contained within the strands, for “as a lot as 33% further hydrated hair and as a lot as 59% visually smoother hair”.
The companion app lets you create custom-made profiles, although exactly how these work with the dryer stays to be seen. (We’ve under no circumstances seen a hair dryer with a companion app sooner than – not even the $499.99 / £399.99 / AU$749 Dyson Supersonic Nural has one.)
L’Oreal says it has modes geared within the path of straight, curly and coily hair, and presents optimized temperatures, to dry your hair quickly whereas using a lot much less energy. Bundled in are a concentrator and a diffuser, every of which join using magnets, and the dryer is able to sense which attachment is getting used.
The AirLight Skilled is now accessible solely at Ulta, priced at $475. Full evaluation to adjust to.
